Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 26th, at the American Fork 14th ward chapel at 500 North, 825 East in American Fork. Mililani Luahiwa McQuivey passed away peacefully on the morning of Friday, June 19th, attended to by her loving husband, Jay B McQuivey and her eldest son, Jace Lyndon McQuivey. She was 87. In those many decades of life, Mililani overcame obstacles, blazed trails, and built bridges. She was, above all, a follower of Jesus Christ, a supportive wife, and a giving mother.

Born in Honolulu, Hawai'i to Agnes Ululaniokahekili Nahale-a originally of Waimea, Hawai'i, she took the family name of her mother's husband James Kaleiheana Luahiwa. Her earliest memories are from her time being raised by her maternal grandparents in Kawaihae on Hawai'i island. At the age of seven she moved back to Honolulu to be raised by her mother and her beloved step father, Wallace Grace. She later attended Kamehameha Schools and LDS Church College Hawai'i. After graduation with her associate's degree, she attended BYU in Provo, Utah where she met and fell in love with her future husband Jay. They married in April 1962 and were later sealed on March 5th, 1965 in the Salt Lake City temple.
